Updated my portfolio on Cargo :)

Here’s the final illustration I included as the inside cover of my portfolio… and also made it a huge 32 x 32 canvas to hang behind me at my portfolio review show :D

It’s about that time I need to start wrapping everything up and assemble my portfolio. I just finished my surprise illustration that will be featured in my portfolio book. I won’t fully reveal it just yet since some of you will see it at the portfolio review show (I hope). Here’s another snippet of the piece. This was super fun to do but there’s so much more I have to finish up. Workworkwork!!!

There’s so much to do before I graduate I’m going crazy. It’s about that time I stop sleeping, drink coffee and red bull and pull all-nighters so I can get stuff done. Here’s just one of those things; an illustration I’ll be using for my portfolio. Well part of it. I’ll reveal the whole thing once I’m finished :)

I meant to post this when I finished it last month but I forgot. When vacation starts, absent-mindedness sets in. This was a self portrait project from last quarter. I was horrified we had to use our own photos in this project but then remembered Crissey’s tutorial and it saved my life… well it saved my final heh. Thanks Crissey! You’re awesome :D And since the project required to show how you differ from other designers I thought it would be fitting to include a few of my characters.
Oooh spot the happie robots!

Cargo is ready!

Recently I’ve been working on developing my portfolio website myself but it’s taking me quite a while to complete it with other big projects also going on. I feel like it’s very important to have a portfolio site that way your work is readily available if anyone asks. I’ve posted some of my work on here but I don’t feel like this blog is formal enough for my portfolio work and I don’t want it to be either. I rather it just serve as a place for silly doodles as well as keep everyone updated on new work being posted on my website…

I was speaking to mis0happy (she’s so awesome! :D) about her work on this lovely site, Cargo. Then she asked to see my work :| Once again I had to tell someone that I didn’t have a website yet. Enough! I said. I went on Cargo to see what the deal was and how to set up an account. I’ve seen it before but never thought to post my portfolio on there since I’m making my own website but I figured it would be a good way to keep my portfolio on hand in case anyone else asks again.

And that’s how Happie Robot Town got it’s very own mini portfolio site. Check it out! :D
