So, new year, new beginning! A lot of changes are in store this year that’s for sure! I’m actually working on reinventing myself and my brand. I’m not quite ready to reveal any details but you’ll be the first to know when it’s all done!
For the time being, I’d like to start sharing my design process more often. This is an elegant aqua and gold mood board I put together for a client that needs a new identity for her brand new photography business. She’s super talented and I’m super excited to be working with her!
I find creating mood boards a helpful part of the design process and a good way to make sure that you and the client are on the same page. Do any of you use mood boards?

Hi, person. Thanks for writing! I’ve always loved doodling as well but I am mostly a digital doodler and illustrator. My handmade skills are lacking. :/ I don’t think you really need fancy gadgets to do what you love and be successful. There are many places (like Etsy) where you can showcase and sell some handmade goods. Maybe that would be the best option for you??
If you do get those snazzy programs (I use Photoshop and Illustrator), there are TONS of tutorials online that are super helpful for learning basics and more. I’m self-taught but also went to art school which motivated me to learn more and teach myself more. I’m a firm believer that you can accomplish your goals if you try hard enough and never quit! :)
I’m not sure if I answered your question or helped at all. I don’t think I’m very good at giving advice hehe. Good luck with your future endeavors!
My cheesy advice made me think of “Sailor Moon Says” so I made a doodle… (post will follow).
